Join the Ottawa School of Theatre for the world premiere of The House Rules, a
holiday show written by local playwrights for a multigenerational cast.
What would the world be like without you in it? How do we rely on each other to live
good lives, and to face life’s tragedies and wonders?
Join us from November 27th to 30th in the Richcraft Theatre at Shenkman Arts Centre
for a modern adaptation of the holiday classic It’s A Wonderful Life. Written by Bruce
Deachman and Megan Piercey Monafu specifically for OST’s large multigenerational
cast, The House Rules is about the fun and frustration of living in a community, about
housing politics, and about family, duty and freedom. It’s fun and entertaining, and
written in a way for kids to understand the complexities of living in the housing crisis.
The House Rules features a cast of 54 actors between the ages of 6 and 80.
Showtimes:
November 27 at 6:30pm
