Position: AB5 - Office and Aniboutique Coordinator – Ottawa International Animation Film Festival
Desired Contract Term: 26 Weeks Start Date: May 18, 2026 End Date: November 13, 2026
Work Schedule: 4 business days / 32 hours per week in office Work Location: Arts Court, 2 Daly Ave
Job Summary: This position is funded through Ontario’s Job Creation Partnerships (see more details below). The Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF) is one of the leading events of its kind in the world. It's an annual five-day event with a total attendance of 28,000, attracting artists, producers, students and animation fans from around the world. 2026 will be the 50thanniversary of the event. The OIAF Office and Aniboutique Coordinator will be the front-line liaison between the Festival and the public. You will help to keep the office organized and assist all staff with administrative tasks. This position will assist with setting up the festival’s store using Shopify and help with general festival logistics.
Responsibilities:
Communicate with customers, employees and others to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, and take orders.
Keeps the festival office well organized, directs inter-office communication, and receives deliveries.
Update the organization’s websites, including the Canadian Animation Directory and Aniboutique.ca.
Work with other staff and take on other appropriate projects.
Work with Festival vendors and set-up the Aniboutique
Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent communication and people skills.
Good organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, takes initiative.
Experience working in customer service.
Able to consistently meet deadlines.
Adaptability and a positive attitude.
Experience in event and project management is an asset.
Strong computer skills: the ability to quickly learn new programs/platforms and take the initiative to troubleshoot

Additional Qualifications Required:
Candidate eligibility for JCP is determined according to the following criteria:
1. An unemployed job seeker or those employed less than 20 hours per week.
2. A permanent resident living in Ontario who is legally authorized to work in Canada.
3. Meet at least 1 of the following criteria:
a. Has an established Employment Insurance (EI) benefit period.
b. Previously established an EI benefit period that has ended within the previous 60 months.
c. Paid employee EI premiums (e.g. Box 18 on the T4) in at least 3 of the last 10 years while earnings have been at least $2000 in each of those years.
NOTE: Persons currently enrolled in full-time academic studies are not eligible for consideration. Those who qualify to establish an Employment Insurance (EI) claim must do so prior to being considered for JCP participation.
Remuneration:
$704 (gross) per week paid biweekly by the Province of Ontario (average hourly rate: $22.00 based on 4days/32 hours).
