About the event
The Group of Embassies of Latin American Countries (GRULA) in Canada are pleased to announce the 27th edition of the Latin American Film Festival (LAFF), which will take place on June 22,23,28,29,30, at Jack Turcot University Centre, UCU auditorium, located at 85 University Private, Ottawa. The festival will feature an extraordinary selection of film productions from 16 countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
Attendees will enjoy, free of charge, a diverse variety of genres, including drama, fiction, thriller, and documentary, among others. All films will be screened with English subtitles. Many of the featured films have already gained international and national recognition, being nominated for prestigious film festivals or receiving awards for their outstanding achievements.
This collaboration demonstrates the strong ties between Latin America and Canada, and the commitment to promote cultural exchange and understanding between our nations. The Embassies of the Latin American Countries (GRULA) in Canada invite everyone to attend this unique cultural event and experience the diversity and richness of Latin American cinema.
