About the Role

Job Summary: Reporting to the Client Services Coordinator and Administrative Manager, provide administrative support, oversee client relations, and support ticketing functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Client Services Coordinator.

  • Reply to email and phone inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Assist with receiving and directing festival inquiries, mail, and courier services

  • Maintain and update the existing electronic filing system.

  • Assist in strengthening relationships with existing community contacts.

  • Assists in maintaining and updating community contact lists.

  • Complete box office ticketing orders as requested.

  • Update website event listings.

  • Onsite support during the Music and Beyond Summer Festival.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Strong written and communication skills in English, strong verbal and written skills in French is an asset.

  • Working knowledge of office equipment.  Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Word and MS Excel.

  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

  • Experience with Wordpress an asset.

Additional Qualifications Required:

Candidate eligibility for JCP is determined according to the following criteria:

  1. An unemployed job seeker or those employed less than 20 hours per week.

  2. A resident living in Ontario who is legally authorized to work in Canada.

  3. Meet at least 1 of the following criteria:

  4. Has an established Employment Insurance (EI) benefit period.

  5. Previously established an EI benefit period that has ended within the previous 60 months.

  6. Paid employee EI premiums (e.g. Box 18 on the T4) in at least 3 of the last 10 years while earnings have been at least $2000 in each of those years.

  7. Received the Employment Insurance Emergency Response benefit (CERB) within the previous 60 months.

NOTE: Persons currently enrolled in full-time academic studies are not eligible for consideration. Those who qualify to establish an Employment Insurance (EI) claim must do so prior to being considered for JCP participation.

Remuneration:

$688 (gross) per week provided by the Province of Ontario ($21.50 based on 32 hours per week).

One mission of Music and Beyond is to introduce and foster new audiences as they explore or experience music and the arts. All the while emphasizing and providing opportunities for young people in the community.
