Antolina Ortiz Moore is a Mexican-Canadian writer based in Montreal since 2000, with over 30 years of experience and five award-winning novels. She was recently honored with the Elena Poniatowska / Ventosa-Arrufat Prize for her novel “Azul Humo”.
“Azul Humo “is a work of fiction that explores the Japanese migration to Mexico through the intertwined lives of a young man, his father, and a French postman who steals what is most precious to them. Drawing inspiration from Dr. Hernández Galindo’s research, the novel weaves together history, poetry, and the vivid imagery of jacaranda trees.
