Mādahòkì Farm is delighted to announce Chef Billy Alexander as the new Executive Chef and Director of Culinary Experiences. A leader in Indigenous cuisine, Chef Alexander brings twenty five years of global culinary expertise and multiple awards to this role. Chef Alexander’s influence in the culinary world is wide-reaching, with a resume that includes serving as Culinary Development Chef for WestJet, earning the Canadian Culinary Excellence Award, and being named one of Calgary’s Top 40 Under 40. He has served on the advisory board for Not 9 to 5, founded the Indigenous Culinary of Associated Nations and contributed to the Culinary Tourism Alliance. He also makes regular appearances on National Television. Blending locally sourced traditional ingredients with a modern twist Chef’s new catering menus showcase his vibrant, Indigenous-inspired dishes. These new menus offer fresh, flavourful dishes for any occasion and are available for events taking place at Mādahòkì Farm and venues across the National Capital Region. Mādahòkì Farm is a preferred caterer for the Canadian Museum of History, the Canadian War Museum, and the National Gallery of Canada. Please note: From January 1 to March 31, 2025, group bookings at Mādahòkì Farm will be paused for renovations to Mamawii Lodge, but event catering off-site will continue. Chef Billy Alexander will present some of his new menu items at Tulip Restaurant on Sunday, November 17 at 6 PM for the Corazón Indigenous Dinner, presented with the Mexican Embassy in Canada. This unique event, part of Corazón: A Trio of Festive Collaboration Dinners, features Indigenous chefs from the Arctic, Central Canada, and Mexico.
