Registration is now open for the 2015 Capital Vélo Fest Tour La Nuit! For the 5th annual Tour La Nuit we have moved our cycling celebration from spring to the autumn to take advantage of the earlier fall nights and to connect with the cycling community throughout the summer biking season. Make your plans now to kick off your fall cycling adventures with the Tour La Nuit on Friday, September 25th! The Tour La Nuit is unique experience in Ontario and the nation's Capital. It is the only closed-road night time ride through a major urban area where you can join your friends, family and community to experience the thrill of riding under the stars without any cars through the streets of the city! Starting and finishing at Ottawa City Hall, the 20 km route weaves through the city streets to the darkened Experimental Farm and back. Along the route, we'll have police security, volunteers and animators for your safety and entertainment as you peddle beneath the night sky. On September 25th, come early to Ottawa City Hall. Dress up your bike in our gear zone, learn from cycling adovcates and industry experts, grab a bite and a SMOOCH, find some great gear at our silent auction and get yourself ready to ride. Activities will start rolling at 5pm at City Hall and the Tour La Nuit ride starts at 7:30pm when we have closed the roads. The ride ends back at City Hall with live bands and tasty refreshments on hand to cap off the night. Everyone who registers will receive a colourful bike light to help you glow during the ride. In addition to helping you to look awesome on your bike, the light increases your visibility and safety for your future night time rides.
