Over 600 amazing lots including fine art, vintage wines, personal music lessons with distinguished professionals, and vacations to France and British Columbia
Music and Beyond is proud to present our second Online Auction, which runs until December 15th. The auction will raise funds for the Music and Beyond summer festival, which runs from July 4th to 14th, 2013.
The auction includes a vast array of incredible lots including an authentic Glenn Gould chair, stunning Bernard Loates lithographs, dinner with Thirteen Strings conductor Kevin Mallon and his fiancée, Lisa Drouillard, and several one-week vacations. A number of stellar Canadian musicians have also donated private lessons or sessions; up for bid are a guitar improvisation session with Roddy Elias, a private clarinet lesson with Kimball Sykes, and a chamber-music coaching session with Julian Armour.
Also up for bid are: gift certificates to a number of Ottawa fine dining locations including Carmello’s and the Courtyard Restaurant; private evening concerts from the Lyon Street Celtic Band and Celtic North; a signed copy of Christopher Plummer’s memoir, In Spite of Myself;and a wide variety of vinyl recordings and CDs. Vacation packages include a stay in a newly renovated guest home on BC’s Pender Island, and a fabulous one-week trip France’s Médoc wine region with tastings at many of the local châteaux.
We are excited to include 16 online lots from the Music and Beyond Wine Auction, which will take place on November 28th at 6:30 p.m. at the Canadian Museum of Nature. Among the exceptional vintages available for bid are a 1990 Reislng Niersteiner Pettental Auslese Dr. Muth Rheinhessen, and a 1970 Château Palmer Margaux 3e Grand Cru Classé with a Robert Parker score of 95. Bids placed online will become the starting bids at the live auction event.
