Orleans Festivals is a dynamic, award-winning organization that brings the community  together through large-scale, high-energy festivals. We produce multiple annual events,  including the: 

  • Orleans Craft Beer Festival (June) 

  • Kanata Craft Beer Festival (September) 

  • Orleans Cork & Fork Festival (November)

Position Overview 

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Festival Organizer/Coordinator to support our  event team. This is a contract position, offering 3-4 hours per day at $25 per hour (billable  by the contractor). The ideal candidate will have experience in event coordination, vendor  and sponsor engagement, and event programming. Strong organizational skills and the  ability to refine and develop event processes are key to success in this role. 


Key Responsibilities 


Vendor & Sponsor Engagement:  

  • Communicate with vendors and sponsors to confirm participation and ensure all  needs are met. 

  • Assist in outreach efforts to secure new vendors and sponsorships. 

  • Maintain detailed records of vendor/sponsor agreements and requirements. 


Event Programming & Logistics: 

  • Support the development of event schedules, programming, and layouts. 

  • Assist with coordinating entertainment, guest speakers, and key festival activations,  and contractors.  

  • Help refine event templates and documentation for better efficiency. 


Administrative & Organizational Support: 

  • Use Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) to manage  documents, communication, and scheduling. 

  • Assist in creating checklists, timelines, and workflow improvements to streamline  event planning. 

  • Support communication between event stakeholders, including suppliers, partners,  and volunteers. 


Qualifications & Skills 

Experience: 2+ years in event planning, festival coordination, or a related field. 


Skills: 

  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 

  • Detail-oriented with a knack for developing and refining processes. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with vendors,  sponsors, and partners. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) is an  asset. 


Personal Traits

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently. 

  • Passion for community-driven events with a festival atmosphere. 

  • Well-organized with problem-solving abilities. 


Contract Details 

Hours: 3-4 hours per day (flexible). 

Rate: $25 per hour (contractor invoicing required). 

Location: Remote/flexible, but may require some on-site coordination leading up to and during events.
