Position: WS2 – Finance Coordinator – Wesley Clover Parks

Contract Length:  26 Weeks                 Start Date: May 6, 2024             End Date:  November 4, 2024

Work Schedule:  Full Time – 4 business days per week (32 hours)                     Location:  Hybrid Ottawa office + home

Summary: This position is funded through Ontario’s Job Creation Partnerships (see more details below). Administratively supports the Finance Manager with accounts payable and accounts receivable and other finance tasks as delegated.

The Opportunity:

  • Assist with processing accounts payable in QuickBooks.
  • Assist with processing accounts receivable in QuickBooks.
  • Assist in ensuring all bill expenses have been correctly reviewed and approved by the appropriate manager(s).
  • Correspond over email and/or phone with suppliers regarding expense payments as needed.
  • File paid expense bills.
  • Assist in overseeing and drafting department budgets as requested by the Finance Manager.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Post-secondary education, ideally in a related field.
  • Computer literate with recent experience using MS Office programs.
  • Ability to work under pressure and on various projects simultaneously and autonomously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Previous finance experience would be an asset.

Additional Qualifications Required:

Eligible to participate in Ontario’s Job Creation Partnership (JCP) program by meeting the following criteria:

  1. An unemployed job seeker or those employed less than 20 hours per week (part-time students and graduates may apply)
  2. Live in Ontario
  3. Legally authorized to work in Canada
  4. Have one, or both, of the following criteria:
  5. Established an Employment Insurance (EI) benefit claim (regular or maternity/parental benefits ONLY)
  6. Paid employee payroll premiums, i.e., employed in Canada, in five of any five of the last ten years while earning an annual income of at least $2000 (gross).


$662 (gross) per week for 32 hours ($20.68 average per hour) provided by the Province of Ontario.
