The Scottish Society of Ottawa continues their role and mission in further connecting people in Ottawa with Scottish culture, folklore and history through the OttScot Festival. This month-long celebration was kicked-off with Hogman-eh!, and features the Great Canadian Kilt Skate, the Gala Burns Supper & Ceilidh and a number of community organization partnership events throughout the month.
Kilt Skate Home Edition December 31, 2020 – February 28, 2021
Celebrate Scottish heritage by taking to the ice in kilts! With Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, the Home Edition is a perfect way to continue the tradition in a safe way, by skating with your household members on your local skating rink. This year’s theme: Our faces may be masked, but our knees will be bare!
Burns Supper – January 23, 2021
Due to the stay-at-home order, now in effect the meal portion of the Burns Dinner has been cancelled, but the entertainment will continue for free.
