Some say we\’re unstoppable. Others just refer to us as the \”Iron Wall.\” There\’s a very good chance we\’re neither of those things, but the CBC Ottawa Soccer Team is still worth cheering for on Sunday, June 24th at the Community Cup Soccer Tournament – taking place at Brewer Park.
We are excited to announce that bringing to the field their impressive soccer skills include Robyn Bresnahan, host of Ottawa Morning; ever-popular news reader Stu Mills; Lucy and Adrian from CBC News Ottawa; and reporters Evan Dyer, Omar Dabaghi-Pacheco, Waub Rice and Alistair Steele.
Community Cup is a co-ed soccer tournament that brings together long-time city residents with newcomers from around the world. In addition to soccer, the day will feature some great live music, sport demonstrations and activities for the kids.
When you\’re done cheering us on in our matches, head on over to our interactive radio tent, where we\’ll be working with CKCU to teach young and old alike how to make radio.
