HOPE Volleyball SummerFest

The 30th Annual HOPE Volleyball SummerFest event combines the World’s Largest One Day recreational volleyball event with live rock entertainment. Each year, more than 25,000 players and spectators flock to Mooney’s Bay Beach in Ottawa for the greatest summer party in the region. These participants have helped HOPE donate over $3.5 million in support of more than 110 local charities.

Storm wreaks havoc

First the Jazz Festival, then Bluesfest, and now, the HOPE Volleyball Summerfest is the latest casualty of Ottawa’s soggy start to summer.
For the first time in its 27-year history, tournament competitive play was washed away in a deluge of rain.
And it wasn’t just Summerfest that saw people scrambling for shelter Saturday.
A violent storm system swept through the region, wreaking havoc on flights, power grids and emergency services across the city.

Volleyball tournament HOPE-ing to give local charities a $25K boost

More than 10,300 players on 1,000-plus teams will come together this weekend for music, games, and a good cause at the world’s largest one-day volleyball tournament.
Ottawa’s annual HOPE Volleyball Summerfest is happening Saturday at Mooney’s Bay to help raise money for six different Ottawa charities and bring together a crowd of more than 25,000 for a day in the sun.
The HOPE organization has committed to donating $25,000 to each of this year’s local charities.
