Come Celebrate the 10th Anniversary and the Launch of the Festival Season
THE OTTAWA FESTIVAL NETWORK TO KICK OFF 2006 SEASON WITH 10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION AND THE LAUNCH OF THE FESTIVAL SEASON!
The Ottawa Festival Network (OFN) will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a showcase of what the 2006 festival season has to offer. On April 20th from 11am to 1pm, we invite the media, industry VIPs and City and Government officials to come by City of Ottawa – Jean Pigott Place and learn more about Ottawa’s multi-million dollar festival industry.
The event will allow the media and industry members to sample some complimentary food and drink from a local caterer – Carmellos on Cooper, receive some giveaways from the festivals and have a chance to have a sneak peak at the entertainment line-up for the spring, summer and fall. Speakers will include Mayor Bob Chiarelli, Julian Armour (President of the OFN & Executive and Artistic Director, Ottawa Chamber Music Society), Mark Monahan (Founder of the Ottawa Festival Network & Executive Director, Ottawa Bluesfest), among others. There will also be an exciting presentation launching the revitalization of the Ottawa Festival Network.
Since 1996, the Ottawa Festival Network has been working to make our local events world-class and promoting Ottawa as an exciting tourist destination while also increasing the quality of life for city residents. The Ottawa Festival Network is a not-for-profit membership association dedicated to providing support, presenting a united voice, and creating an effective networking environment. At present, over 33 festivals and events in the National Capital Region and surrounding area are members of the group.
