Culture, great food and family fun is coming your way Ottawa! We have a great lineup of continuing and new festivals for you and the family to enjoy. Don’t stay in this summer and come out and #getfestive.
Torchlight Shakespeare (July 2 – August 17)
A Company of Fools is continuing their tour of parks in and around the Ottawa area. With over 35 different location and a “pay what you can” fee, the theatre has never been more accessible! “The Fools” will be performing the classic tale of star crossed lovers: Romeo and Juliet. Come #getfestive this summer and check out these great performances!

Northern Lights (July 9 – September)
Come enjoy a relaxing, beautiful light and sound show at Centre Block of Parliament Hill. This classic Ottawa event is completely FREE and running all summer long. This festival projects Canada’s cultural, historical and physical landscape through vivid visual and audio landscapes that guarantees family fun.

Lebanese Festival (18 – 21)
Live it! Love it! Lebanese style! Come down to the grounds of the St. Elias Cathedral and Banquet Hall to celebrate the 29th annual Lebanese Festival! This five day, family friendly cultural celebration is known for its delectable food, guided tours of the St. Elias Cathedral, and midway activities. However the fun doesn’t stop there! There is also dance lessons, live music performances from Karl Wolf, Rami Badr and Stephanie Sarkis as well as raffles that raise money for charities. Come on down and join the fun!

Ukrainian Fest (19 – 21)
The 5th annual Ukrainian Festival is underway this weekend. Come to the Mooney’s Bay area to celebrate rich and interesting Ukrainian culture. Some of the events include traditional songs and dances from top performers around the country as well as workshops, classes, plenty of activities for the kids, and who could forget the delicious traditional food! Ukrainian Festival is one of Ottawa’s most enriching and engaging festivals so don’t miss this opportunity to #getfestive!

Garden Party (19 – 21)
With the goal of highlighting the importance and beauty of Ottawa’s gardens and greenery, Garden Party is a marvellous event featuring beautiful sights all over the Capital Region area, complete with plenty of events such as guided tours on foot, bike or bus, tea time and storytime for the kids at Rideau Hall! Come and appreciate the gorgeous sights this city has to offer and #getfestive!
