Ottawa, ON – April 26, 2017 The Ottawa Festival Network (OFN) today welcomed Storm Internet as their 2017 Connectivity Sponsor. Storm will be providing equipment and Wi-Fi service for OFN’s new #GetFestive promotional campaign – including “on-the-street” student ambassadors, “virtual” ambassadors, and exciting, interactive and engaging Festive Acts.
This partnership will allow OFN and its members to share insider tips and authentic experiences from Ottawa’s local annual festivals, fairs and special events with audiences. Residents and visitors will experience performances and demonstrations, participate in interactive displays and contests, and get the most up-to-date information from connected and informed ambassadors. Each #GetFestive element will not only show that there is something for everyone to enjoy, but will also allow audiences to learn more about the diverse range of activities and programming offered by Ottawa’s local festival industry.
“Ottawa’s festivals, fairs and special events are a big part of what makes our city great,” said Avedis Menechian, CEO, Storm Internet. “As one of Ottawa’s premium internet service providers, Storm Internet is proud to support this important campaign, and our talented local festival industry, whose entrepreneurial producers and curators annually play a big part creating local excitement and fun.”
“We’re thrilled to be able to harness Storm’s networks to help showcase all of our festivals, fairs and special events that make Ottawa Canada’s festival capital,” said Executive Director Carole Anne Piccinin. “Having a trusted Internet provider partner is critical to the success of this first-ever industry-wide promotional campaign. This partnership means OFN can count on greater reliable internet connections with Ottawans and visitors, as we share our industry’s exciting programming, and encourage everyone to ‘#GetFestive’ in Ottawa!”
OFN ambassadors will be at various popular locations including Parliament Hill, the Rideau Centre and the ByWard Market. During an exciting time to be in Ottawa, this campaign powered by Storm will ensure OFN’s #GetFestive ambassador team has immediate and reliable access to web-driven information.
