OST Presents World Storytelling Day 2018

[Source: Ottawa Storytellers]

Theme: Wise Fools

You are invited to a celebration of World Storytelling Day at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 82 Kent Street (upstairs room) on Sunday, March 25 from 1:30pm to 3:50pm.

It’s a chance to have some fun with storytelling friends and to bring other friends with you to experience storytelling for the first time!! The room is accessed by stairs or elevator.

We are going to play a game to see what good liars… whoops, we mean storytellers you are. To play the True Lies Game, we need FIVE volunteers who will tell a 5 minute story to different tables and let them guess whether it is true or a lie. The lies should be believable and the true stories unbelievable!! Please let us know if you are willing to be one by March 14 by emailing [email protected]

After this game we will have a break for people to socialize and then those that want to can tell stories about WISE FOOLS to the people at their table.

We will provide cold drinks and we hope people will bring delicious snacks to share. It would be nice to help allergy sufferers by including some signage concerning the ingredients (e.g. no nuts, dairy, etc.) and/or providing your name so people can ask.

We would also like a few volunteers to act as greeters, help with set up and take down. So we have an idea of numbers, we would like you to reply by March 14th if you CAN come and let us know if you will volunteer (also through [email protected]).
