Welcome Spring in Gatineau Park With NCC Interpretation Programs
Canada’s Capital Region – With spring in full bloom, the National Capital Commission (NCC) is pleased to present another series of nature interpretation programs, beginning on Sunday April 26, 2009, at the Gatineau Park Visitor Centre (33 Scott Road, Chelsea). The programs are free and are offered in French and English, rain or shine. No reservation is required. Each program – led by an experienced naturalist – lasts approximately two hours and includes an indoor presentation, followed by a guided walk on the universally accessible Sugarbush Trail.
Spring 2009 Schedule
Spring Flowers Have Sprung: Spot spring flowers in Gatineau Park, and learn what distinguishes them from other plants!
April 26 and May 3, 10 and 17: 1:30 pm (English), 10:30 am (French)
The Sights and Sounds of Birds: Observe and listen to the migratory birds that have just returned to their breeding grounds in Gatineau Park!
May 24 and 31: 10:30 am (English), 1:30 pm (French)
June 7 and 14: 1:30 pm (English), 10:30 am (French)

Managed by the NCC, Gatineau Park is the Capital’s conservation park. Each year, some 1.7 million visits are made to the Park, a four-season destination, known for its vast natural territory endowed with hundreds of kilometres of trails, forests containing more than 40 species of trees, abundant wildlife and numerous lakes.
