The Writers Festival is happy to welcome George Elliot Clarke back to Ottawa on Feb 20. Those who have seen Clarke perform know what a brilliant and magnetic person he is both on and off stage. He has written poetry, novels, plays, operatic librettos, and works of criticism. His work largely explores and chronicles the experience and history of the Black Canadian community of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, creating a cultural geography that Clarke refers to as Africadia.
