LAST WEEK TO EXPERIENCE MOSAIKA

NCC’s new sound and light show held over for an extra night to welcome post-secondary students to the Capital Canada’s Capital Region & The National Capital Commission (NCC) wishes to inform residents and visitors that the  urrent season of the new sound and light show on Parliament Hill draws to a close on Monday, September 13, 2010. The free, bilingual show, Mosaika: Canada through the eyes of its people, has enjoyed great success in its inaugural  eason, having now been seen by over 200,000 visitors since being introduced in July.

Held over for special evening

The NCC has added a special bonus presentation of Mosaika on Monday, September 13, to welcome university, college and cégep students to Canada’s Capital Region. Entertaining and enlightening, with rich educational content, the show explores Canada’s physical landscapes, history, achievements, and values. Mosaika is a must-see attraction and a  erfect evening activity for the Capital’s new or returning post-secondary students.

This new 30-minute experience uses spectacular lighting effects, stunning image projections and a rich tapestry of  words, music and sounds to tell the story of Canada — our story — with a powerful narrative set against the spectacular backdrop of the Peace Tower and the Centre Block. Mosaika will be presented free of charge at 9:30 pm until September 13, 2010 (weather permitting), and for the next four summers.

The NCC has captivated audiences for 25 years with its sound and light shows. The last edition drew record-breaking numbers and was seen by over 1.2 million spectators.
