Emerging actors perform Shakespearian classic

The Salamander Shakespeare Company performed the most well-known Shakespeare play, Romeo and Juliet at Billings Estate on July 21.
EMC Entertainment – The Salamander Shakespeare Company has never put on a story of more woe, than this of Juliet and her Romeo.
During the month of July, the company has been performing Romeo and Juliet, the most famous play written by William Shakespeare, throughout Ottawa. While many people are familiar with different variations of the play, this performance stands out because it is the original script that includes scenes many viewers may have never seen before.
“People experience the joy of the original,” said Eleanor Crowder, director and founder of the Salamander Shakespeare Company. “It’s intense, wonderful, powerful and surprisingly funny.”
