Classical musicians are becoming our new rock stars.
Don’t laugh.
Once dominant rock and roll is dwindling to a dull roar, and in its wake adventurous fans are looking for musical alternatives, including, gasp!, new classical music.
The generation raised on The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin are turning to classical in increasing numbers and Glenn Hodgins the 2012 Ottawa Chamber Music Festival’s executive producer hopes a few of them will try Chamberfest, which opens on July 26.
