Ottawa SuperEx will turn the clock back to 1971 for its final production of the fair in Lansdowne Park.
The city\’s Five Man Electrical Band were riding high with the million-seller Signs that summer, a few months after the Stampeders, Calgary\’s pride, had cracked Billboard\’s Top 10 with Sweet City Woman.
These legendary Canadian bands will perform successive Saturday night shows at SuperEx. Five Man Electrical Band plays Aug. 21, followed by The Stampeders on Aug. 28.
Thanks to the redevelopment of Lansdowne Park, SuperEx, which runs Aug. 19 to 29, will move to its new home next year near Rideau Carleton Raceway.
So this is the last time to catch the fair in the heart of the city.
