RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest organizers have announced the six finalists for the music festival’s second ‘She’s the One’ competition.
The contest is a cross-Canada talent search for the best emerging Canadian female music talent. More than 300 musicians entered the solo or band category of the competition.
Solo finalists are Nova Scotians Breagh Mackinnon of Sydney and Molly Thomason of Antigonish, and Sarah Hiltz from Chatham, Ont. Finalists in the band category are Chloe Charles of Toronto, Kingston’s Miss Emily and Carmen Townsend, who hails from Halifax.
