Ottawa’s music showcase festival MEGAPHONO will return with its 5th edition February 7-9, 2019. The 3-day music event will showcase nearly 100 artists in 30 venues around the Ottawa-Gatineau region, with a strong focus on local and regional talent. As in past years, MEGAPHONO will welcome music industry delegates from across Canada, the United States, Europe and beyond, to network, share and explore business opportunities with regional music industry players.
This year’s program is MEGAPHONO’s most exciting and diverse lineup to date, featuring the celebrated Saskatchewan singer-songwriter Andy Shauf, explosive hip hop outfit The Sorority, West Coast Haisla rap warriors Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Congolese-Canadian hip hop artist Keynes Woods, rootsy Ottawa power duo Rita Carter and Aspects, ’90s hip hop-throwback Buck-N-Nice, local rump-igniters Garçons, and many more! And we’re not even done. Future waves of MEGAPHONO artists will be announced in the coming weeks…
A full programme of panel discussions and talks will soon be announced, as well as our delegate lineup for 2019. As always, a diverse group of record labels, booking agents, publishers, music supervisors, festival directors and other industry visitors will descend on Ottawa to explore our local music scene and discover new talent.
Limited quantities of MEGA, FO’SHOWS, and FO’SHOWS+ (giving full and “guaranteed” access to all festival programming) are now on sale at megaphono.ca/buy-passes
