#AskHotz Anything Thursday at 7PM on Twitter

Ottawa’s own International Man of Misery – Jeremy Hotz –will be taking questions and giving answers for one hour on Twitter Thursday, February 16th at 7pm as part of the Alterna Savings Crackup comedy festival.  Join the conversation and #AskHotz anything while he’s backstage preparing for the festival show Crackup for Mental Health presented by the Mental Health Commission of Canada.

Hotz is considered one of the most unique stand-up comics working today and has quickly become a proven international success, and like a large number of people in the entertainment industry — he lives with mental illness.

Jeremy suffers from Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)—a crippling condition for someone who performs live stand-up comedy. But instead of keeping it in the shadows, he welcomes questions about it, in the hopes of bringing it out into the light and dispelling the stigmas associated with mental illness. Most people shy away from confronting the issue of mental illness, but, as Jeremy says, “Anything that educates and helps people understand is a good thing. Knowing that people care will help all that suffer immeasurably.”

Help stop the stigma with @JeremyHotz and @crackup and ask questions using #AskHotz.

And if you did not get a ticket to TONIGHTS Crackup for Mental Health show, you can still see Jeremy Hotz again Saturday, February 18th at the festival finale show, Comedy Night in Canada! Tickets are available at crackup.ca.

Jeremy looks forward to meeting you and “cracking open” doors to improve access to mental health and recovery services in the Ottawa area.
