Senior Manager, Facilities and Programs

Summary
Reporting to the Director, Urban Lands and Transportation, the Senior Manager, Facilities and Programs provides integrated strategic planning principles and guidance for the development of portfolio programs and facilities that contribute to visitors’ experience of the Capital. The incumbent manages all business and support functions for major land use events and programs. The incumbent also manages all aspects of seasonal facility operations in urban parks. For the Rideau Canal Skateway operations, the incumbent develops and implements multi-year Skateway strategic directions. The incumbent also facilitates interdisciplinary collaborative efforts among internal stakeholders and manages multidisciplinary teams. The incumbent establishes, develops and maintains partnerships with external stakeholders within the private and public sectors, and acts as the spokesperson for his/her team and the organization by communicating with members of the media as needed.
