a Company of Fools is currently seeking a paid Apprentice Production Manager to join the Torchlight Shakespeare team during the run of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Candidates must be between the ages of 15-30 and returning to full-time post studies in the fall.
Contract date: June 7th-August 23rd, 2017 (11WKS)
Pay Rate: $13.00/HR 35HRS/WK
Apprentice Production Manager
Reporting to the Production Manager and Stage Manager, the Apprentice Production Manager assists with any and all production related duties regarding costume and set construction, logistics, rehearsals, set up and teardown. During the run, the candidate will assist the Stage Management team with stage set up and teardown as well as backstage crew work as required. Duties also include postering, flyering and light administration.
Successful candidates must be available for the entire run, be physically capable of repeated heavy lifting and be able to maintain a professional, positive attitude at all times and in all sorts of summer weather (rain, shine, heat, humidity, cold).

Sense of humour
Considered Assets (not required):
Familiarity with a Company of Fools and/or pursuit of theatre-related studies
G class driver’s license / access to a vehicle
CPR and/or First Aid Training
