166th Richmond Fair

The Richmond Agricultural Society is a not-for-profit volunteer organization whose mandate is to promote agricultural awareness to the community. This is accomplished by generating revenues from grounds and facility rentals, livestock shows, dog shows, grants and other fund raising events held throughout the year in support of the annual Richmond Fair held the third Saturday weekend in September.
Richmond Fair – “A Country Fair Where Town and Country Meet” – will celebrate 166 years of continuous operation on September 16, 17, 18, 19, 2009.
Event Highlights:
• Supervised agricultural awareness program for elementary and special needs students
• Kiddyland (free entertainment for the children)
• Petting Farm & Pony Rides
• Youth & family entertainment outside and inside
• Robertson Amusements Midway
• Saturday Parade
• 4-H, dairy, beef and sheep shows
• Heavy, miniature, saddle & harness, and western horse shows
• Demolition derby
• Working Displays of Antiques in Motion
• Homecraft Displays & Exhibits
• Trade Show
