Overview

One World Arts is proud to announce its fifth Awesome Arts Festival which celebrates the end of the Awesome Arts program held in Strathcona Heights over the course of three months this Fall. The program aims to engage and captivate youth on some of the world’s most urgent issues in a dynamic way.

This year’s theatre, animation, drumming and slam poetry performances feature Strathcona Heights children and youth, ages 5 to 18. Emceed by Slam poet Jamaal Rogers, the evening will also offer performances from internationally-renowned beat-boxer Julia Dales and Triple A, the dynamic drumming group Baobab Youth Performers, Yvon Soglo and his amazing hip hop dancers and more!
