The 2020 edition of the Ottawa Lebanese Festival is cancelled and will return July 21st to 25th 2021.
Live it. Love It. Lebanese Style! Held every July, the Ottawa Lebanese Festival celebrates five days of marvelous Middle Eastern food, entertainment and genuine traditions on the grounds of the St. Elias Cathedral and Banquet Hall. The Festival is proud of its world-wide recognition and success as a family-oriented festival celebrating the culture of Lebanon.
Celebrating 30 years in the national capital region, the Ottawa Lebanese Festival brings the rich diversity of the Ottawa-Lebanese community with five days of marvelous food, Middle Eastern entertainment and heritage. Beginning Wednesday, July 15th and running through to July 19th, the grounds of the St. Elias Cathedral showcase a variety of savory goods and Lebanese culture.
With free shuttle service from the Canada Post parking lot, Millennium Limousine Services also offers free entry to the festival every day until 5pm.
The Family Midway
Open every day at 11am. There are plenty of rides and games for children, as well as the young at heart. The pay-one-price ride bracelets are $25 per person, per day.
The Lebanese Food Tent
Savor the very best in Lebanese cuisine. Indulge in Hummus, Tabbouleh, Falafel and Chicken Shawarma. Also available are a combination of appetizing Middle Eastern platters, including vegetarian selections.
The Dessert Pavilion
There are also delectable desserts and coffee you can enjoy while your cruise the beautiful display of genuine Lebanese crafts, history and artwork.
Offering the ever popular “saj” bread – made in a time-honored tradition and prepared in front of your eyes. Opens daily at 5pm
Embrace the Middle Eastern culture while various artists as they perform contemporary and customary music, dances and entertainment. A complete schedule is available on the festival website and Facebook page.
The Beirut Lounge
A wonderful place to relax with friends – offering a new full menu that includes beef kababs, fatouch salad, and kafta. A traditional Lebanese experience surrounded by live nightly entertainment.
The Pepsi Confectionery is operated by the hard-working young adult volunteers. Offering ice cream, refreshing beverages, snow-cones, and you cannot forget the cotton candy and the candy apples. We have all the snacks to soothe your craving!
Take a trip through time and heritage when you enter the Adonis Lebanese Marketplace. Browse the cultural artifacts, informative pamphlets and videos to experience the vibrant country and style of Lebanon. This tour and merchants will give you a sense of what it is like to visit this beautiful country.
The Beer Gardens
Take advantage of our one of our popular imported Lebanese beers in the Laurier Optical Beer Garden. Relax outside with a drink and share some great food with friends while taking in the festival.
St. Elias Cathedral Tour
Experience the grandeur of the St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral and the rich history of the religion though a private tour. Church tours are available throughout the festival: Weekdays 6:00pm – 10:00pm. Saturday and Sunday 2:00pm – 10:00pm.
