Overview

The Asinabka Festival is an annual 5 day Indigenous film and media arts festival in Ottawa that provides a venue for Indigenous artists, both national and international, to share and present their work.  The Asinabka Festival highlights work that examines Indigenous issues and topics, promotes Indigenous cultures and languages, educates people about First Nations, Métis, and Inuit issues in Canada, and about Indigenous issues internationally.  Currently in our 6th year, the Asinabka Festival presents curated and jury selected artwork that showcases the best and most innovative contemporary Indigenous Film, Video, Media Art, Music, and Visual Arts.
