<p><strong>Summaire du poste :</strong></p>
<p>Relevant du Directeur, Terrains urbains et réseau routier, le Gestionnaire principal, Installations et programmes présente des principes de planification stratégique intégrée et des directives portant sur le développement des programmes et des installations du portefeuille qui contribuent à l’expérience des visiteurs dans la capitale. Le titulaire du poste gère ainsi toutes les activités et les fonctions de soutien des événements et des programmes majeurs touchant l’utilisation des terrains. Le titulaire du poste gère également tous les aspects des opérations saisonnières des installations dans les parcs urbains. Dans le cas des activités sur la patinoire du canal Rideau, le titulaire du poste élabore et met en œuvre les orientations stratégiques pluriannuelles de la patinoire. Celui-ci contribue également aux efforts de collaboration entre les différentes disciplines impliquant les intervenants internes, en plus de gérer les équipes multidisciplinaires. Le titulaire du poste met sur pied, élabore et entretient des partenariats avec les intervenants de l’extérieur provenant des secteurs privé et public, sans compter qu’il agit à titre de porte-parole de son équipe et de l’organisation en communiquant avec les membres des médias, au besoin.</p>

<p><strong>Summary</strong></p>
<p>Reporting to the Director, Urban Lands and Transportation, the Senior Manager, Facilities and Programs provides integrated strategic planning principles and guidance for the development of portfolio programs and facilities that contribute to visitors’ experience of the Capital. The incumbent manages all business and support functions for major land use events and programs. The incumbent also manages all aspects of seasonal facility operations in urban parks. For the Rideau Canal Skateway operations, the incumbent develops and implements multi-year Skateway strategic directions. The incumbent also facilitates interdisciplinary collaborative efforts among internal stakeholders and manages multidisciplinary teams. The incumbent establishes, develops and maintains partnerships with external stakeholders within the private and public sectors, and acts as the spokesperson for his/her team and the organization by communicating with members of the media as needed.</p>

<p><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong>: Works with Convenor and committees to develop and implement communications, promotion and outreach strategies for Festival activities. These activities involve community outreach and promotion through grassroots consultation, marketing, and external communications.</p>
<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>:</p>
<p>In conjunction with the Convenor and Steering Committee and subcommittees:</p>
<ul>
<li>Develop and implement a communications, promotion and outreach plan to raise awareness, understanding and attendance at Festival activities within target communities, alumni, stakeholders, volunteers and the media.</li>
<li>Implement approved plans within guidelines and deadlines with support from other staff and volunteers. Submit regular reports.</li>
<li>Implement promotional strategies to achieve goals including promotional materials and tools (sales brochures/flyers, posters, online &amp; email promotion, phone campaigns, web content, ad placement, marketing partnerships, etc.).</li>
<li>Work closely and collaborate with partner organizations</li>
<li>Create communication tools and write materials targeted to alumni, stakeholders, partners and the media.  </li>
<li>Undertake community outreach activities and consultations and represent Festival at events.</li>
<li>Complete a media relations plan, establishing and stewarding relationships with the media.</li>
<li>Maintain updates to the Festival relationship management database.</li>
<li>Update the websites and social media and other web presence content</li>
<li>Assist the sponsorship and fund raising committee with preparation of proposals and promotional materials</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>SKILLS REQUIRED</strong>:</p>
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 2 years’ experience in community or public relations. promoting events and creation of PR materials</li>
<li>Related degree in Communication, Journalism, etc., with direct experience in current promotion materials/tools</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with knowledge of writing for media and web</li>
<li>Strong people skills &amp; team-player with self-organizational skills, able to multitask and meet deadlines</li>
<li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, web software including Wordpress, Jumla, Facebook, Twitter, etc</li>
<li>A passion for community development, sustainability and an ability to speak French are an asset</li>

<p>Administrative Assistant carries out their duties that include:</p>

<li>To help coordinate under supervision performing arts festivals for the purpose of educating and advancing the public’s understanding and appreciation of performing arts and to educate artists through participation in such festivals and related workshops.</li>

<p><strong>REPORTING RELATIONSHIP</strong>: Reporting directly to the Director and Festival Coordinator</p>
<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>:</p>
<ul>
<li>Coordinates the daily activities required to put on a large event, including permit applications, researching and attracting vendors and service providers, plans and institutes the use of volunteers.</li>
<li>Carries out needs assessments based on previous years records and coordinates any necessary changes.</li>
<li>Reports to funders re: Current status of project and any projected problems in meeting deadlines.</li>
<li>Answers phones and takes messages as required. Facilitates communication between the Director and members of the project and its support staff.</li>
<li>Implements phases of the program outline efficiently and effectively according to a pre-set schedule and in accordance with a budget. Acts as the link between community agencies groups and individuals in dealing with a wide range of issues related to the success of Festival activities.</li>
<li>Evaluates the use of volunteers at past festivals. Determines the number of and skills requirements of volunteers required for the next festival.</li>
<li>Performs administrative tasks as set out by the director.</li>
<li>Maintains statistics such as status of permits and applications.</li>
<li>Works with the Director to implement changes required to get the project back on track when deadlines are missed.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>SKILLS REQUIRED</strong>:</p>
<ul>
<li>Three years post secondary, administrative training</li>
<li>Two years of practical experience in a similar position</li>
<li>Proficiency in MS Word and Excel</li>

<li>Assist with event management during the festival in conjunction with the Logistics Manager.</li>
<li>Assist with the transport of all storage items needed during the festival and create post-festival inventory.</li>
<li>Assist in festival implementation phase by helping with onsite set-up and dismantle from June 16<sup>th </sup>– 27<sup>th</sup>, 2012.</li>
<li>Assist in the festival evaluation and make recommendations with the submission of annual post-event report.</li>
<li>Liaise with Board of Directors and other event staff as necessary.</li>

<p> <strong>SKILLS REQUIRED</strong>:</p>

<li>High School Diploma or higher level of education.</li>

<p><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong>: Responsible for assisting the Director of Operations with festival operational issues, logistical needs, and office administration.</p>
<p><strong>REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:</strong> Reports to and works directly under the supervision of the Director of Operations.</p>
<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong><br />
<strong>Ticket Sales:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Learn the ticketing system for all ticket sales throughout the festival</li>
<li>Responsible for all in-house sales made to the public, sponsors and groups from the festivals main office</li>
<li>Process in-house telephone, and mail order sales and process and print all the complimentary tickets</li>
<li>Works with Director of Operations on entering data to perform daily reconciliation on outcomes of daily ticket sales</li>
</ul>
<p> <strong>Logistics:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Responsible for ordering onsite telephone lines, motorized vehicles, accreditation, etc</li>
<li>Responsible for overseeing the development and distribution of all accreditation for the festival</li>
<li>Assist with setting up the onsite communications office</li>
<li>Assist in overseeing a team of volunteers throughout the festival period &amp; other duties as required</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Office Administration:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide admin support /data entry/ editing duties for office functions;</li>
<li>Provide admin support to fundraising initiatives such as golf tournament;</li>
<li>Responsible for responding to all customer inquires through phone and email;</li>
<li>All other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>SKILLS REQUIRED:</strong></p>

<li>Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize</li>
<li>Proven success multi-tasking in a high pressure environment</li>
