We need volunteers to help with our Victoria Day Festival. The Festival is in Queen Juliana Park near Carling and Preston. There will be a midway with rides, a stage with musical entertainment, and other attractions such as a petting zoo and face painting. Weekend afternoon attendance will mainly consist of families and children.
The festival runs from May 8 through May 24. We need volunteers on the weekends only (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Holiday Monday).
Possible duties include giving directions and offering assistance to patrons, promoting the festival at a booth in the Rideau Centre, handing out brochures, helping vendors and musicians with small tasks, and others.
We are also interested in finding a volunteer who knows how to engineer the sound for concerts.
