Congregation from Westboro church gives concert hall plan its blessings

OTTAWA — A proposal that would see Ottawa Bluesfest founder Mark Monahan convert a heritage church in Westboro into a concert hall was blessed Sunday by the congregation that owns the building.
Monahan plans to use the former Westboro United Church on Churchill Avenue as a headquarters for his charitable Ottawa Music Foundation, but also as a place to stage concerts and offer music programs.
