Last year’s Bell Capital Cup, which brought more than 8,300 hockey players to Ottawa between Dec. 30, 2010 and Jan. 3, 2011, was named the Ottawa Tourism event of the year in their annual awards gala Thursday.
The junior hockey event spread across 22 local rinks and brought in $15 million to the local economy, with 11,000 hotel rooms booked across the city.
